Thousands of residents in Kyaggwe County have received free medical services during the Kabaka’s Tubeere Balamu Health Camp, a two-day community outreach event aimed at improving public health and wellness.
The health camp, held from August 12–13 at the Kyaggwe County headquarters in Mukono, was officially launched by Prince Daudi Chwa, representing His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
The initiative brought together medical professionals, volunteers, and local leaders to offer a wide range of free health services, including general medical check-ups, HIV testing and counseling, dental care, eye screening, maternal and child health services, cancer screening, and health education sessions.
Prince Daudi Chwa emphasized the Kabaka’s continued commitment to the well-being of his people, urging community members to take advantage of such initiatives and adopt healthier lifestyles.
Local health workers praised the program for reaching underserved communities, especially those who cannot easily access or afford medical care. Many attendees expressed gratitude for the services, highlighting how the camp not only provided treatment but also created awareness about disease prevention and early diagnosis.
The Tubeere Balamu (Let’s Live Healthy) campaign is part of the Kabaka’s broader health agenda, which includes addressing HIV/AIDS, promoting proper nutrition, and supporting maternal and child health across Buganda.
Organizers noted that the turnout in Kyaggwe was among the largest in recent years, reflecting growing public trust and the critical need for accessible healthcare in rural and peri-urban areas.
