East Africa Region Global Health Security Summit 2025 underway in Mombasa, Kenya as World grapples with US Health Aid Suspensions

As the world grapples with US President Donald Trump’s suspension of health and other aid to countries around the world, Kenya is hosting the East Africa Region Global Health Security Summit 2025 currently underway at PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort and Convention in Mombasa.

The Summit Chief Guest is the Former President of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and is running under the theme: Securing Health and Prosperity, One Community at a time.

Uganda is represented by Col. Dr Henry Henry Kyobe Bosa the Incident Commander Epidemics and Dr Godfrey Bwire the Assistant Commissioner Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response.

“We have lost more people to bullets fired by Africans on Africans than actually we lost to Corona Virus. And we have actually spent more buying those bullets to kill ourselves than we have spent on protecting our health of our society,…” Mr Kenyatta said.
